Clinical Hypnotherapy uses advanced methods of hypnosis and other techniques to treat a variety of behavioural, emotional and psychological problems; upwards of 85 per cent of people will readily respond to Clinical Hypnotherapy. It is an evidence-based therapy, with over 70,000 research references worldwide. The British Medical Association approved the use of hypnotherapy in 1955, the American Medical Association approved its use in 1958.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is highly cost effective with benefits often being achieved rapidly. Clinical Hypnotherapy can be successful where other interventions have not produced the desired outcome.
However, Clinical Hypnotherapy is not some form of magic pill or quick fix. It requires that the client be committed to change and prepared to make the effort to make that change a reality.
So, how does Clinical Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnosis is neither sleep nor awake, but is a deeply relaxed, altered state of consciousness, which you can naturally enter. This empowers the individual to allow beneficial, positive suggestions to be accepted by the unconscious mind, the part of us which stores our deepest beliefs, memories, fears and emotions. This part of the mind exerts a considerable influence over our personality and our behaviour.
Hypnotherapy sessions are generally customised to your individual needs and wishes, and your beliefs are respected at all times. If you want a specific technique or approach to be used or avoided, then mention this to your hypnotherapist and your treatment plan will be adjusted in accordance with your wishes.
What problems can Clinical Hypnotherapy Help With?
Hypnotherapy can be used to make positive changes in your life and to provide relief from a variety of physical and psychological symptoms, it is a brief, strategic therapy, one that is aimed specifically at finding a resolution to your problems as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible.
